The Golden State Warriors play all of their regular season and playoff home games at The Oracle Arena at the City of Oakland County of Alameda Coliseum Complex. The arena has been standing since 1966 but it underwent a complete facelift in 1997. Everything in the stadium was completely new except the roof and the “jewel box” exterior wall. The seats were made to be wider and more comfortable, the aisles were made to accommodate more people and there were more concession stands and bathrooms put in to make the fans experience more pleasant and more convenient. The new arena was also upgraded to state of the art video and audio equipment to show the games off better and to help fans feel the music instead of just hearing it. The stadium also has a NBA Championship banner from 1975 when the Warriors won the NBA Championship in that building.
The Oracle Arena is also the home of the University of California Golden Bears. The team plays all of their home basketball games in the arena and is part of the PAC-10 conference which brings in teams like Stanford and UCLA.
The stadium also plays host to a number of different events like concerts, figure skating, boxing and the circus. Some of the featured artists that have played in the Oracle Arena are Van Halen, Usher, Kanye West, Hillary Duff, and Prince.
